Prince Rupert is situated along the shores of the third largest natural ice-free harbour in the world. Prince Rupert hosts the Northern terminal of the BC Ferry from Vancouver Island, departure by ferry west to the Haida Gwaii Islands, and the southern terminal for the Alaska Marine Highway.
