Teens: Creative Minds

January 27 @ 12:00 am - April 7 @ 12:00 am

The Museum of Northern British Columbia is especially happy to be able to bring you our next exhibit in the Ruth Harvey Art Gallery, Teens: Creative Minds, as it is in keeping with one of the Museum’s 100th anniversary themes – looking to the future and the role of today’s young people in shaping it.

Explore the teenage brain and gain insight into its inherent creativity. Meet a dozen Canadian teenagers who have used their innovative minds to make the world a better place. Discover 12 inventions, including: a robotic heart that beats according to the patient’s level of exertion; a bad weather collector that transforms the energy created by rain and bad weather into electricity; the first super hero, Superman.

Navigate an obstacle course blindfolded wearing a belt equipped with ultrasound sensors; write sentences using Bliss-characters, an Ideographic language; take a quiz to discover your personality type, and much more.
