The Coastal Conversations Series is back – and we’re hosting Dr. Spencer Greening in partnership with the Prince Rupert Library! 7:00-8:00 PM on October 8th.

Dr. Spencer Greening is Ts’msyen (Tsimshian) and a community member of the Gitga’at First Nation (Hartley Bay). He is an anthropologist who has worked professionally within his territory for over a decade, where he conducts cultural research centering on Ts’msyen ecological knowledge, stewardship, harvesting laws, and on how we can relate better to the non-human world. Outside of his research, he enjoys facilitating land-based food sovereignty workshops with youth, and is hunting and fishing as often as he can. Spencer is Currently a Liber Ero postdoctoral fellow at the University of Victoria.
