DESCRIPTION:🐰🌸 Easter Scavenger Hunt! 🌸🐰 \nGet ready for a super fun Easter adventure made just for kids! \nPresented by Tourism Prince Rupert\, this scavenger hunt is your chance to explore\, solve silly riddles\, collect stickers\, and have tons of Easter fun! \nHere’s how it works: \nSTEP 1:Pick up your colouring sheet at the Port Interpretive Centre or The Earl Mah Aquatic Centre between April 1st and 4th during business hours. \nSTEP 2:Solve the 5 riddles on the back of the sheet and collect each sticker before 1pm on April 4. \nSTEP 3:Turn in your completed sheet to the Port Interpretive Centre on April 4 before 2pm to claim your prize AND get entered into the grand prize draw! \n✨ Bonus fun!\nDrop off your sheet early on April 4th between 11am and 1pm and partake in the Port Interpretive Centre’s Easter Egg Painting event! Kids can paint eggs to take home\, watch an Easter-themed movie\, and take part in a guessing game with prizes. \nDon’t miss out on this egg-citing event! \n

SUMMARY:Coastal Conversations: Film Series
DESCRIPTION:The North Coast Ecology Centre and the BC Environmental Film Festival are collaborating to bring some amazing nature films to Prince Rupert and the North! \nThe films will be shown at the Lester Centre of the Arts on March 5th\, March 19th and April 2nd.\nTickets are $15/night or $35 for all three nights. \nApril 2nd Film: Grizzly Rewild\n \n\n“Grizzly Rewild” (Canada\, 2024\, 52 minutes) showcases five orphaned grizzly cubs being reared at the world’s only grizzly rewilding facility in Smithers\, British Columbia and then follows them being released back to the wild wearing GPS collars. In a ground-breaking study\, eminent bear biologist\, Dr Lana Ciarniello tracks the progress of these bears over the next year to see whether they can survive without a mother to teach or protect them. It’s the first time rewilded grizzlies have ever been filmed readapting to life in the wild. If they survive – grizzly rewilding could become widely adopted and help rebuild North America’s declining grizzly populations.  Grizzly Rewild | 2024 BCEFF\n\nNCECS memberships will be available at each event.\nNorth Coast Ecology Centre Society
