Meet a dozen Canadian teenagers who have used their innovative minds to make the world a better place. Discover 12 inventions\, including: a robotic heart that beats according to the patient’s level of exertion; a bad weather collector that transforms the energy created by rain and bad weather into electricity; the first super hero\, Superman. \nNavigate an obstacle course blindfolded wearing a belt equipped with ultrasound sensors; write sentences using Bliss-characters\, an Ideographic language; take a quiz to discover your personality type\, and much more. \nVenue: Museum of Northern BC \nOrganizer: Museum of Northern BC

DESCRIPTION:Dine Out Prince Rupert is back! After taking a three year hiatus\, DOPR is returning for its fourth year. The first few months of the New Year can be a challenging time for the hospitality industry and DOPR’s goal is to drive more business to our City’s incredible and unique restaurants. \nDuring the DOPR campaign\, participating restaurants will offer a feature menu at a set price point to entice customers to eat out and support local restaurants during a typically slow period. \nDine Out Prince Rupert 2024 will run from February 18th to March 3rd.

DESCRIPTION:The North Coast Ecology Centre Society (NCECS) is hosting monthly Coastal Conversations Seminars! We invite people to learn from knowledgeable locals about the North Coast’s unique ecosystems and culture. Our third Coastal Conversations Seminar will be all about Humpback Whales! Have you recently been hearing about Humpback Whales in Prince Rupert Harbour? Perhaps you thought to yourself\, isn’t it a little late in the winter to see Humpback Whales? Well if you did\, come learn all about humpback whales\, their great migration\, and what they are doing staying so late in BC waters with Karina Dracott from Ocean Wise. Ocean Wise (formerly the Vancouver Aquarium)\, has been researching local whale populations since 2014 and with help from local contributors\, have documented over 400 individual humpback whales that call these waters home.
